Biography
For the past 30 years, Courtney G. Jones has worked on a variety of projects in various capacities (producer/director/editor/camera) such as: national commercials for Visa and American Idol, major music videos for Aaliyah, Anthrax and Busta Rhymes, feature films starring Ted Danson, Henry Winkler, Reno Wilson, Michelle Waterson and television series on MTV/VH1, HBO and programming for syndication.
Although he has worked with every medium from celluloid to high-end digital cinema cameras, Courtney enjoys pushing the mobile medium to its limits as a brand ambassador for companies Filmic and Luma-Touch, the makers of Filmic Pro and LumaFusion, respectively. He is not abandoning the other mediums, but is focusing on a ‘mobile first’ workflow moving forward.
In addition to creating content for other outlets, Courtney is in the process of launching a streaming service that will highlight series, feature, documentaries and other works celebrities and other independent filmmakers who think outside the traditional box.
Courtney is currently in development on another feature film and a series, but manages to host and co-host podcasts about the future of filmmaking and mobile filmmaking.
