Biography

Over 25 years of experience as a senior level executive leadership in pay television. Led film strategy, content sourcing, curation and licensing for all channels of HBO and Cinemax, including oversight of HBO Latino programming. Led the negotiations of complex, long term deals focused on ‘future-proofing’ HBO as it evolved from standalone linear networks (HBO/Cinemax) to multi-channel, multiplex offerings, then OnDemand offerings, to HBO GO and HBO NOW, for multi-platform digital and linear distribution.

Longstanding relationships with studios, filmmakers, producers and independent distributors of filmed programming, including films, series, shorts, comedy and music. Led strong teams, reaching cutting edge deals with rigor and vision. Combines creative and analytical approach to drive results based on deep ties within the media industry. A natural ambassador between the business and creative sides of media. Passionate about representation in the industry, within executive ranks and on screen. Equally passionate about investing in women and helping women get elected to political office – especially WOC.

A frequent guest on numerous entertainment industry panels such as HBO’s Alianza, NATPE, ATAS, HRTS and MTV’s Thrive as well as a lecturer at top Communications institutions including New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School.

Former board member of the New York Urban League (2016-2019). Former board member of El Museo del Barrio (2010-2017). Bolivian born, fluent in Spanish. Lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two sons.
