Biography
Tina serves as Senior Director Programming & Acquisition for aspire TV, as well as sources content for UP Entertainment’s sister networks and platforms. She is responsible for long and short-term program planning, manages a multi-million-dollar programing budget, identifies, negotiates and acquires feature films, short films, series and documentaries and has produced four seasons of aspire TV’s original series, Urban Indie Film Block. In addition to content acquisition and scheduling, she handles original lifestyle pitches from producers and has contacts within the music, film, television and streaming platforms.
Tina was part of the original team to launch aspire TV and led the programming strategy for its launch in June 2012. Prior to aspire, Tina has had many successes, creating on-air strategies as a programmer for UP TV), Nick at Nite and TV Land. As a graduate of the University of Maryland and a member of the NAMIC ELDP University of Darden Business School cohort, XIX, Tina started her career as a photographer, videographer and editor for the USDA. Later, she worked on independent films; where she was part of the casting, scouting and scriptwriting teams.
Ultimately, she found her calling in content programming, development and acquisition. She has previously served on The Board of Directors for NAMIC-NY and WICT-SE and enjoys meeting and looking for the fresh faces and voices of talented producers and writers who are transforming the industry. In her personal time, Tina loves to spend time with her family and travel.
